Introduction:
MDCAT is medical entrance exam which is conducted by Pakistan Medical Commission. In Past Years, it was conducted on provisional level. Different well known universities were responsible to conduct this exam. As Imran Khan elected as PM, He ordered for establishment of PMC. For the first time in Pakistan, PMC announced Computer Based Exams throughout the Pakistan with a decided and approved syllabus for all. This time, PMC is functional and ready to conduct MDCAT 2022.
Medical & Dental Council 11th Meeting-Decisions
The Council in its 11th meeting held on 14th May, 2022 approved that the registration for MDCAT will be opened from 25th May 2022 and the exam will be held from 7th September to 30th September in 20 cities across Pakistan.
MDCAT Schedule:
According to PMC Examination Schedule 2022, MDCAT will be conducted on 7th Sep-30th Sep 2022 all over the Pakistan and other countries also. It will be computer based as it was in 2021. If we discuss about syllabus for this exam, you can visit PMC official website to download it. It is same as MDCAT 2021 syllabus.
NMDCAT Paper Pattern:
- Total No of MCQs; 210 MCQs.
- Every MCQs carry one mark.
- There is no negative marking in MDCAT.
Subjects Included:
The question paper for this test consists of total 5 subjects from intermediate Course. Following subjects are included in this test,
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- English
- Logical Reasoning
Logical Reasoning
Logical Reasoning is newly included subject in this entry test because it was not part in previous years. PMC Syllabus is strictly followed in this exam. Prepare your MDCAT syllabus wholeheartedly and make sure to cover all mentioned topics in PMC National MDCAT syllabus.
Subject wise distribution:
- Biology contains 68 MCQs.
- Chemistry contains 56 MCQs.
- Physics contains 56 MCQs.
- English contains 20 MCQs.
- Logical reasoning contains 10 MCQs.
This subject wise distribution will be strictly followed by PMC management. You should be clear regarding this.
Time duration for MDCAT Paper:
National MDCAT duration for to attempt in on computer system is 210 minutes.
