DERA GHAZI KHAN MEDICAL COLLEGE | ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES ADMISSIONS 2021

INTRODUCTION:

Dera Ghazi Khan Medical College, which opened its doors in 2010, is a public medical school in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. Initially, lessons were held at the Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur, but on November 28, 2011, they were relocated to the D.G. Khan. The Punjab government has set aside 522 kanals of land for the construction of a regular academic block and hostel building, as well as the expansion of the attached 346-bed DHQ Hospital, which houses all of the major medical and surgical specialties, such as medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, eye, ENT, and so on. The teaching hospital, DHQ Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan, is affiliated with the college.

The DHQ Hospital is at a short walk from the campus. The campus has an area of 229 kanals. The DHQ Hospital is right across the street from the college. The complete university, hospital, and hostel complex covers around 650 kanals. Four major lecture rooms, seven demonstration halls, six science laboratories, two museums, one library, one cafeteria, seven basic medical science departments, and two separate boys and girls dormitories make up the campus.

1. BSc. (Hons) Medical Imaging Technology (MIT)
2. BSc. (Hons) Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)
3. BSc. (Hons) Operation Theater Technology (OT)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

FSc. Pre Medical or FSc. in relevant technology from recognized board with at least 50% unadjusted marks.

HOW TO APPLY?

• The candidates should apply separately for each desired program on the prescribed Admission Form available in the Student Section & on the website of D.G. Khan Medical College, Dera Ghazi Khan (www.dgkmc.edu.pk).
• Admission forms completed in al respects along with required documents including Pay Order! Demand Draft of Rs 1000/-(Non-refundable) for each course (3000 total if you are applying in all 3 programs) in the favor of Principal, D.G. Khan Medical College, Dera Ghazi Khan should be submitted by hand/ sent via courier to the office of the Director, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, D.G. Khan Medical College, Dera Ghazi Khan.
• The form received (by hand/via courier) after the due date will not be accepted.
• Last date for submission of the applications is January 13, 2022 till 2:00 pm.
• Regular classes will commence from March 1, 2022.

Documents to be attached: (Attested by Gazetted Government Officer)

1. Secondary School Certificate (SSC). Detailed Marks Sheet issued by the Board is also acceptable.
2. Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC Pre-Medical) Detailed Marks sheet issued by the Board is also accepted.
3. Domicile Certificate of the Punjab. Other certificate or document (e.g., Birth Certificate, B-form, and CNIC etc.) are unacceptable in lieu of Domicile Certificate. Any candidate found to have domicile of more than one place shall be disqualified. For tribal seat, candidate stould have Domicile Certificate of Tribal area of D.G. Khan, Panjab.
4. Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
5. CNIC of his/her own and Father/Guardian
6. Four recent passport size photographs. One attested on front and other three attested on the back.
7. Original Fitness Certificate issued by a registered Medical Practitioner/ Government Medical Officer indicating the PMC number of attester.
8. Disability Certificate issued by *Provisional Council for The Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons” only for disabled candidates.
9. Candidates having foreign qualifications must provide the attested copies of Equivalence Certificate issued by the IBCC.

NOTE:

1. 20 Seats for each program mentioned above. (Total 60 seats).
2. 02 Seats out of total 60 seats reserved for disabled candidates which will be allocated on merit basis (one in MIT and one in MLT) The decision of the Admission Board shall be final.
3. 01 Seat out of total 60 seats is reserved for Tribal Quota, D.G. Khan (one in OTT); the merit list of Tribal Quota, DG. Khan stall be finalized on the basis of merit. The decision of the Admission Board shall be final.
4. 03 Seats out of total 60 seats (one in each program i.e.. MLT, MIT & OTT are reserved for Children/ Spouse of employees working at D.G.Khan Medical College and DHQ Teaching Hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan. The allocation of seals will be purely on merit basis. The decision of the Admission Board shall be final.
5. Selection will be made strictly on open merit basis.
6. The incomplete form, deficiency of documents will result in cancellation of admission application,
7. There is no hostel facility for the students of Allied Health Sciences Courses.
